What makes Hindi captions hard.

  1. 01

    Conjuncts and matras

    Letters like क्ष, श्र and द्ध are built from several characters, and vowel signs attach above, below or to the left. A font or renderer that gets this wrong shows broken words.

  2. 02

    Fonts that lack letters

    Many display fonts have no Devanagari at all, and some Hindi fonts miss rarer letters like ऎ or य़. Most tools then show empty boxes.

  3. 03

    Word timing

    Speech models time Hindi words loosely or not at all, so highlights drift. Captions feel off even when the text is right.

Are the captions in Devanagari or English letters?

Hindi videos are captioned in Devanagari. If you mix English into your Hindi, choose Hinglish when you upload: English words then stay in English letters.

Which fonts support Hindi?

Five bundled fonts cover Devanagari: Poppins, Noto Sans Devanagari, Hind, Mukta and Baloo 2. Latin-only fonts like Anton can still be used for English words in the same caption.

Can I correct mistakes?
